Description
The picture was taken in Beelitz sanatorium. It was built 1898-1930 west of Berlin to fight the tuberculosis desease which caused an alarming mortal rate mostly in the lower classes of Germany at the end of 19th century.
Situated in the socialist east of Germany the sanatorium was driven by the Soviet Army. After German reunification the Red Army left 1994 and gave up the facilities. Since then, most of the buildings are desolate.
